A Third Grade Teacher’s Guide to Supporting Family Involvement in Foundational Reading Skills

The Regional Education Laboratory (REL) has developed this teacher’s guide to support families in practicing foundational reading skills at home. The Teacher’s Guide includes a snapshot of each recommendation, how-to steps, language teachers can use with families to describe a specific skill, family activities to share with families, and family literacy videos that show families engaging their child in the literacy activities.
